Lori always knew she wanted to work with animals. Her first job was in a kennel at her local animal hospital where she grew to love veterinary medicine and tending to pets. Working closely with doctors and nurses who cared so much about animals made her realize her passion was to become a veterinary nurse. Since then she’s spent the last 10 years taking care of a variety of animals large and small.
Lori was raised in Glenside, Pennsylvania and graduated from Abington Senior High School. Afterwards she attended Harcum College in Bryn Mawr to complete an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology. This gave her the opportunity to work a nursing internship at University of Pennsylvania’s Veterinary Hospitals. Following the completion of her internship Lori passed the state board and is a now a certified veterinary technician in the state of Pennsylvania.
Quality patient care, client education, internal medicine, and anesthesia are just a few of Lori’s major interests in veterinary medicine. She recently started working, in conjunction with Ark, at the Center for Animal Referral and Emergency Services (CARES) in their ER/ICU department and is excited to continue her growth as a nurse to provide excellent care for any animal.
She currently lives in Furlong and shares her home with two cats, Bella and Socks, who tolerate, but get along with their roommate Grey, a golden retriever mix. In her free time Lori enjoys cooking, kayaking, and spending time outdoors with friends.
