As a little girl Jayme wanted to help all animals. Every little injured snake, turtle, bird and bunny found their way home to be mended and sent on their way. She always dreamed that one day she would do this type of work forever, but her compassion and love for life led her down the human medical path where she has spent the last twenty years. Over time she felt something was missing. Jayme went back to college to achieve her childhood dream. She is currently completing her bachelors degree at Delaware Valley University in Wildlife Management and Conservation. She hopes that one day her work will lead her to the ocean where she will help preserve the habitat and welfare of sharks and other marine life. Her experience with animals includes work at a wildlife center, the Philadelphia Zoo, and currently Ark Animal Hospital. She has also spent the last 13 years volunteering at a pot-bellied pig rescue, and has done volunteer work at dog and cat rescues.
Jayme is married and they have a teenage daughter. Her daughter is an equestrian on the Delaware Valley University high school IEA team. She aspires to make it to the Olympics as an equestrian. The rest of the crew includes three rescue pups – Poppy, Lola, and Finn. They also have three rescue pigs – Hampton, Porkchop and Skyler.
